TOGETHER
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (I Corinthians 1:10 NKJV)
This Scripture became a reality when, on August 15, a group of 42 dedicated workers arrived from abroad, all from different churches and backgrounds, to lay aside any differences and come together to build a church in just five days. They came from as far away as Great Britian and Panama, and as close as Indiana, South Carolina, Florida and Texas. Honduran nationals completed the team and today, a beautiful church that seats 140 persons extends a warm welcome to all in Santa Cruz de Yojoa.

What a week it was! In addition to the actual church build,
a) we also hosted a VBS style presentation to children in four public schools where the total student enrollment is 811
b) we had two soccer coaches hold a soccer camp for approximately 80 kids which culminated in a mini-FIFA tournament
c) held a one-day medical brigade for well child checks
d) distributed reading glasses totally free of charge to recipients as we watched the absolute glee as people were able to read again.
All of these activities were designed to achieve a single objective: afford us the opportunity to present the Gospel to each participant.

New converts PLUS a gorgeous church building that serves as a beacon on the hilltop of Santa Cruz de Yojoa.
